Dr Kim chronister - licensed clinical psychologist

Dr. Kim Chronister is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, author, and media commentator. She earned a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Alliant International University (CSPP). 

Dr. Chronister has extensive experience utilizing dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with clients struggling with eating disorders, relationship issues, substance use disorders,  anxiety, and depression. She also utilizes motivational interviewing (MI) to help clients regain motivation to engage in healthy behaviors to decrease stress and improve mood.  She uses a strength-based approach and focuses on strengths of individuals and couples rather than pathology. 

As a respected expert in the field of clinical psychology, Dr. Kim Chronister has been asked to comment on such subjects as substance abuse, relationships, eating disorders, and issues related to sexuality for respected news magazines, radio shows, and documentaries.  Her passion for psychology is evidenced in her contributions and appearances in Women’s Health Magazine, LivestrongThe National Psychologist, NPR, and Yahoo! News, NBC News among numerous other media outlets.  She is the author of Peak Mindset and the best-selling book on Amazon “FitMentality”.
